Danielle and Michael were married on August 26th, with a ceremony and reception at the Carriage House in Galloway, New Jersey.

I was excited for this wedding because I’d already done the engagement session for the two of them in Philadelphia back in June, where they told me the story of how they met online and fell in love. They love to go to open houses and sing Disney duets. I couldn’t ask for a couple better suited to an honest good time.

So, on the day of their wedding, my second shooter, Aiden, and I headed off to the venue so that we could capture the “getting ready” portion of the day and then the first look—which was Danielle’s favorite part of the day and what she was most looking forward to.

I appreciated the fact that these two made a real effort to show their love for their family in addition to the celebrations for their own union. It showed in everything from the mizinke (the parents’ crowning ceremony) to the table full of family pictures to the way Michael was around his 103-year-old grandmother. One of their favorite decorations was the “Ahava,” or “Love” statue image, in both English and Hebrew. And that perfectly captured the spirit of the day: nothing but love.

I also loved that they had boxes to keep the rings warm, as well as the anniversary photos that they had set out. They had so many unique touches, including an obvious love of Coca Cola, that I was never bored for fun things to photograph.

Danielle and Michael knocked everyone’s socks off with a beautiful choreographed dance to “By the Way They Dance,” and then it was time for the father/daughter and mother/son dances. They kept the party lively, and by the time Michael got up to start rapping, the energy couldn’t be beat.

Michael & Danielle, thank you for asking me to be part of your special day. You two know how to have fun, but the love you share informs everything you do. Congratulations to both of you!
